I'm not a huge Apple person so aside from trying to find a local Apple store I'm not sure what else I can do. The only other suggestions I have found online were to delete my entire library and start all over which I'm not terribly excited about trying as I have over 50gb of songs right now with about 90% ripped from my old CD collection. All the files play perfectly fine on my computer even if an error message is associated with them when syncing. Right before I started having this problem I backed up my entire library to an external hard drive so I thought the software installed for this may have caused a conflict but even after I removed the software I still have this problem. Restoring my ipod.Įvery time I connect my ipod Windows runs a scan to fix bad sectors. Disabling the antivirus I had been using at the time. Since I have updated to the latest version of iTunes I no longer receive the corrupt file messages, but it will still give me -120 error and stop syncing music. When the problem first started I would get the error message "-120 unknown error occurred" as well as corrupt file messages assigned to different tracks each time. What happens is when I go to sync or manually manage music it gets about 200 songs in, then stops giving me various error messages. This problem has been going on for over a year I haven't been successful getting my entire library to sync to my ipod, or even manually add all music to my ipod. I'm not sure if this is the correct group to be asking this question but it is iTunes related involving my 6th gen 160gb Ipod classic.
